Letter from Outgoing Meadows Herald

Congratulations to Their Royal Highnesses Nikolai and Serena. The Dragon Realms future is secured and the populace rejoices with you in this time of celebration.

It was an honor to serve as the Middle Kingdoms Tournament Herald for these past two years and to end with such a wonderful tournament was truly a happy ending to my time in this role.

The mantle of Meadows Herald now passes to Her Ladyship Kriemhilt von Ebersberg (Sabine Lessing-Tyson). I know that this office will be well served by this Honorable Lady and former Dragon Herald of the Middle Kingdom. If you are not aware, the Meadows Herald of the Middle Kingdom is responsible for the Heraldic Aspects of the Crown Tournament, including organizing the processional of combatants and their inspirations and heralding / staffing the heralds for the lists.

Speaking of the heralds in the lists, I would like to thank all of the wonderful heralds who have come to me to assist with the Crown Lists during my time in office. I also wish to thank those have come to assist as List Keepers running the pools, list tree operators and runners. It would not have been possible for the Meadows Herald Staff to do this without you. You make our work possible and help to make the magic come alive for many on this special day in our Kingdom.

Thank you to the Kingdom Earl Marshal, Sir Gregoire de Lyon. Your partnership in these tournaments has helped to make it easy and I have learned much in my time here from you. Thank you.

I would also like to thank the Mistresses of the List for their collaboration with the Meadows Staff and working alongside us.

And I cannot forget to give thanks to Their Royal Majesties, Past and Present. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share this arena with all of these wonderful people. It has been a honor and a privilege to serve the Middle Kingdom and it would not have been possible without you.
