Their Royal Majesties Letter to the Kingdom, on the Occasion of their Coronation

Greetings to the Midrealm from Edmund and KaterynKing sm crown

As We return home from a “peaceful” transition of the throne from Our esteemed parents, Cameron and Amalie, We are minded to turn Our thoughts to the coming months when the Midrealm harvests her crops and prepares for longer and colder nights.

Before We do, let Us first look back at the fond memories created this summer. This summer was a little unusual for the Midrealm as we played hosts to the Known World at the 50 Year Celebration. We hope you all took advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the history of this Society which brings us all together. But having that chance meant compressing our traditional event schedule and having some events conflict that usually do not. What that meant was we had to pack more fun into fewer events, and the Shires and Baronies did not disappoint in their duties as hosts. We would like to thank the Barony of Cleftlands, the Barony of Flaming Gryphon, the Marche of Three Towers, and the Shire of Falcons’ Quarry for hosting Us this summer and making sure that all their guests had a summer’s worth of fun. We would also thank the Shire of Fearann na Criche, The Barony of Shattered Crystal, and the Canton of Cattedan for playing host most recently.

But now it is time to look forward, and Our first duty is to secure the Royal Line of the Midrealm. To that end We will hold Crown Tournament to be hosted jointly by Our Shires of Wurm Wald and St. Carol on the Moor on October 15th. The tournament will be a traditional Midrealm Crown Tournament, standard double elimination with the finals being best two out of three. We hope the populace will attend and witness what should be an excellent tournament.

In Service,
Edmund and Kateryn
