From the Minister of Arts & Sciences, November AS LI

Greetings, Artisans, Scientists, Craftspersons and Performers of the Midrealm!candle-small

Do you make things that you can eat or drink or see or hear? If so, King Edmund wants YOU! His Majesty will be hosting a fantastic and fierce A&S Competition at Pentamere 12th Night. Bring your best work and your highest scholarship! Here are some of the events coming up in November where you may have an opportunity to demonstrate your skill, including the upcoming Craftsperson’s Faires!

On November 5, All Souls takes place in Roselle, Illinois. Also on that weekend, Fall Bransle IV is in Warren, Ohio. Both offer different A&S activities for your enjoyment. On November 11-12, Known World Fiber Arts Symposium is taking place in Calontir—not too far a drive for some parts of our realm! The same weekend you could also dance at Crystal Ball XXXlll in Mulberry Grove, Illinois, or take a class at Road to the Highlands in Stow, Ohio. On November 19, catch some archery workshops at Fall Harvest Festival in Zeeland, Michigan. Or, you could join in the song at Bardic Madness Midrealm, Barony of Illiton in Henry, Illinois. The first event of the next month is December 3, Christmas Tourney XLV, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, with the South Oaken Craftsperson’s Faire there as well. (And it’s not limited to South Oaken participants!)

Regional A&S events will be starting up in just a few months, and Kingdom A&S is only six months away! I am already excited about the Faire Season, and i can hardly wait to see all the great entries our incredibly talented community will bring forth!

Yours in Service to the Arts and Sciences,
Halla of Mugmort, OP, KMOAS Midrealm
