Officers

From the Exchequers, June AS LIII

Greetings and farewell unto the exchequers and populace of the Middle Kingdom,

I want to thank the Kingdom – exchequers, populace, fellow Curia members, and the royalty I have served – for allowing me the privilege of serving as the Middle Kingdom Exchequer over the past two years. Thank you to the group exchequers who have adjusted to the new reporting schedule that was implemented right before I stepped up. Thank you for the work that you do on a daily basis within your groups. I know that it can be a thankless job but I want you to know that you are appreciated.

Thank you most especially to my immediate deputies – the Regional Exchequers and the Kingdom Deputies. The good gentles that have held these roles are the glue that help everything stay together.  They are your pipeline to this office and vice versa.

We accomplished much and I know that I leave the Kingdom in excellent hands with Lady Rhiannon Blaiddwen. I remain in the service of the Crown and Kingdom.

Tidings from the Dragon Herald – May, AS LIII

Greetings.

I hope this brief missive finds you in good health and enjoying the warmer weather that is such a boon to our Kingdom.

If you are an event steward and wish to have a consult table at your event, please feel free to contact your local herald, the Shield Herald, or me so that we may be able to help you out. Please consider putting some time aside to volunteer at the Herald’s point at any upcoming wars you may attend. There is always help needed, whether you know something about names or armory or just want to color submissions we need the help.

To all group seneschals listed in the Herald’s report: If you still receive the Herald’s reports but are no longer the seneschal, please accept my apologies. This is a known glitch in the reporting system and we are working to get it fixed, and will be fixed when the report system goes live in the, hopefully, near future.

In Service to the Dragon Thrones and the Middle Kingdom College of Heralds and Scribes,

Jean Yves de Chierebourg
Dragon Principal Herald of the Middle Kingdom.

Seneschal’s Letter – May, AS LIII

Greetings unto the wondrous gentles of the Middle Kingdom.

I once again have the honor of serving this kingdom as its Seneschal. First, I wish to thank Master Justice MacArtain for his service to the Kingdom.

It is my plan to find a candidate to step into this role quickly. The full job description will be posted in the June Pale, and I hope to have my successor chosen by Pennsic.

Mistress Cerridwen verch Ioreword is serving as my Law Clerk. Other deputy positions may open in the near future, depending upon the interest of the current deputies to continue in those positions.

Furthermore, North Oaken Seneschal Lord Rickard de Als has requested to relinquish his duties. Therefore, if you are interested in serving as North Oaken Regional Seneschal, and live in the region, please apply to me at before June 1, 2018.

There are rumors of war this coming summer. Preparation for Pennsic War has started. We will need the artisans of the Kingdom to help win the A&S war point. Greetings, all!

My term as Middle Kingdom Chronicler is at a close, and I want to express my gratitude to everyone that I worked with during this time. I want to thank all of the local and baronial chroniclers who are keeping the records and history of the Midrealm safe. I especially want to thank the regional chroniclers (Kirsten, Jahanara, Muriel, and Elena) for keeping tabs on things in their regions. Your
help and vigilance is greatly appreciated. A special thank you to Mistress Genoveva, who took over the thankless task of producing The Pale every month. Finally, I cannot thank Mistress Genoveva and Mistress Marissa enough for selecting the William Blackfox Award entries for the Midrealm last summer while I was on medical leave. (more…)
