Greetings from Mistress Una Wynifreed Berry to the people of the Middle Kingdom,
I would like to thank everyone who made Pentamere and Midlands Arts and Sciences Fairs successful. Thank you to the Canton of Nordheim and the Shire of Ravenslake for hosting, and to the judges, the entrants, and fair staff for all your hard work. I will start the process of letting people know who is moving forward to Kingdom A&S fair by May 4, 2018. (more…)
I hope this brief missive finds you in good health and enjoying the warmer weather that is such a boon to our Kingdom.
If you are an event steward and wish to have a consult table at your event, please feel free to contact your local herald, the Shield Herald, or me so that we may be able to help you out. Please consider putting some time aside to volunteer at the Herald’s point at any upcoming wars you may attend. There is always help needed, whether you know something about names or armory or just want to color submissions we need the help.
To all group seneschals listed in the Herald’s report: If you still receive the Herald’s reports but are no longer the seneschal, please accept my apologies. This is a known glitch in the reporting system and we are working to get it fixed, and will be fixed when the report system goes live in the, hopefully, near future.
In Service to the Dragon Thrones and the Middle Kingdom College of Heralds and Scribes,
Jean Yves de Chierebourg
Dragon Principal Herald of the Middle Kingdom.
I’m happy to welcome Sir Farthegn on as the new KEQ. It’s been an extreme pleasure to work with him as the Midrealm Army general and as a peer with great wisdom and insight.
A hugely important THANK YOU to Mistress Zuriel for all the hard work that has taken place in the equestrian community over the past years and getting the publications written, reviewed, and approved. (more…)
Greetings unto the wondrous gentles of the Middle Kingdom.
I once again have the honor of serving this kingdom as its Seneschal. First, I wish to thank Master Justice MacArtain for his service to the Kingdom.
It is my plan to find a candidate to step into this role quickly. The full job description will be posted in the June Pale, and I hope to have my successor chosen by Pennsic.
Mistress Cerridwen verch Ioreword is serving as my Law Clerk. Other deputy positions may open in the near future, depending upon the interest of the current deputies to continue in those positions.
Furthermore, North Oaken Seneschal Lord Rickard de Als has requested to relinquish his duties. Therefore, if you are interested in serving as North Oaken Regional Seneschal, and live in the region, please apply to me at before June 1, 2018.
In service to the Middle Kingdom, Dame Caitriona MacDhonnachaidh
The drums of war can be heard in the East and, as We ready ourselves to take the great responsibility of the Dragon Throne, We also must task the great Dragon to rise and meet the Eastern threat. With that in mind We do make the following announcements. His Grace Edmund of Hertford will lead and train our Belted Champions Team and Baron John the Ox will lead and train Our Unbelted Champions team. (more…)
We have greatly enjoyed Our time on the Dragon Throne, but it is time for Us to retire.
The Middle Kingdom is a wonderful place, and We have gotten to see much of it. Everywhere We have gone, We have found Midrealmers to be welcoming, helpful, and talented. Our army is strong on every field – armored combat, rapier combat, archery, thrown weapons, and equestrian. Our artisans are among the most talented in the Known World, We have consistently been astounded with their work. We have especially been impressed with Our scribes, one of the truest joys of the Crown is to see the beautiful artwork produced and given freely by the scribes. We would especially thank Our champions and Our staff for their service.
We are leaving the Middle Kingdom in very capable hands. We know that Their Highness, Alric and Katheryn, will lead the Kingdom well. We are deeply proud of the Middle Kingdom.
